Guess the Acts

Preparation:
  • game organizer needs to prepare large papers with act-able nouns written on it
  • the paper and font size depends on the room and the number of people playing
Teams and Groups:
  • one person needs to MC this game
  • all players are divided into 2 or more groups of 5-8 people each
Rules and How-to:
  1. for each group, one person be the 'guess-er'
  2. the 'guess-er' sits facing other group members
  3. other group members will form a line facing the 'guess-er'
  4. the MC stands behind the 'guess-er' and holding the papers with act-able noun
  5. the MC will show the papers one at a time
  6. other group members take turn in acting the words on the paper
  7. the 'guess-er' will guess what's written on the paper
  8. for each correct guess, the group gets a 10 points
  9. one round contains at most "the total actor within group x 10" points
  10. a group loses its turn if the 'guess-er' cannot guess a word within 5 seconds
Variations:
  • you can add non-act-able nouns for prank (or for really hard questions), such as carbon dioxide, oxygen, cholesterol, cold weather, etc

  • if you have a small group, an actor can sit beside the guess-er and help to guess the words after his/her turn to act. Then if all guess-ers cannot guess certain word, then the actor for that word is punished.

  • if you have a small group, you can make simple sentence and ask each member to act each words. You might have verbs or adjective, but the fact that it's a sentence should serve as a clue for the 'guess-er'. Of course, this is harder than the usual version.
